Our first month is officially over!

It’s crazy to see how much work we did in the past month. We started the month the four of + Irit Gill Lev A week after we welcomed Travel As They Grow and Jennifer Claire Constant with their kids. Two weeks after that we welcomed more visitors and volunteers.

We can’t be happier about the progress we’ve made in one month!

(Guitarvera) well…that was awesome. Festivals in Spain are always super fun, crazy, full of alcohol and music. We enjoyed a weekend in Villanueva where every corner had a small group of musicians who played their best songs for the crowd. #guitarvera

Our kids started the program this week. They met the educator every day for 5 hours. Mila is doing fantastic work with them. She set up a beautiful space for the kids, worked with them on art and craft, academia, free play time, outdoor activities and more. We are accepting new families and kids to the program and the goal is to move from Mila’s house to the land in the next few weeks. #educationprogram #waldorfeducation

Our sitting area near the ruin is almost ready. This week, Terry and Javi (our visitor) removed the tiles from the top walls. In addition, Terry finished the restoration of the stairs. We cleaned the surface again and now are ready to build the wooden deck in June. Stay tuned.

this week we almost lost the Cherry tree to hungry horses who came late at night to munch all the leaves. We will install new fences next week and move all the nursery to the gardens. #vegetablegarden

We finally completed the first trail from the Base Camp area to the “Secret Valley”. A beautiful trail that will cross all the hills. The current trail takes almost 8 minutes to complete!

Aya Lev's sourdough is finally ready! We baked bread and stopped purchasing bread from the store. Much healthier and delicious!

Jen led a special task to clear a surface near the river and create a chill zone for all of us. We cleaned the area, built a fire pit and brough carpets and fishing nets for entertainment.

In May we will focus on different important tasks that require professionals and heavy machines. Aya met all of them, explained the tasks and got quotes. On the list - new road for the cars (because during the winter, the road is wet and slippery), Holes to deposit all the compost from the bathrooms and another hole for the gray water system, expand of the natural spring into a natural pool and restoration of spring in the Base Camp area (there are at least 3 more springs on the land) and more.

Guy and Noam prepared the inventory and material list for June. In June we will build showers, bathrooms, an outdoor kitchen and other units. All of them will be mobile. This week we worked on the plans and calculations to make sure that we will have everything we need to start the work in June.

We welcomed a Dutch-Spanish family with two kids. We spent a few days together, showed the land and shared our vision. Next week they are coming back with another Dutch family.

we are starting to receive many requests to stay with us.

If you are interested, feel free to contact us directly on our page. We would love to set up dates for your visits. #workaway #workawayers
