Our third week on our farm was so much fun (and full of hard work 🤣)

Our kids met the new couple of educators who are going to start the Waldorf based program for them. We spent a lovely afternoon with their families and shared more ideas for the kids.

The new sitting area is finally clean! It was an intense tasks led by the one and only TJ LetsGo. We removed 50 SQM of thorns, bushes and gigantic rocks. After we cleaned the area, we leveled the surface with all the natural matter we took our from the ruin.

Our friend Sebastian Vianova came to visit us for 2 nights, helped with different tasks and played in his ukulele. We had a great time.

Aya and Jennifer Claire Constant continued to work on the vegetable gardens. The preparation takes a long time, especially without the right infrastructure but we did it anyway.

This week we tried to get rid of all the dry thorns and bushes as we have so many of them after we completed the cleaning of our ruin. We built a fire pit of 1 cubic meter. The test was good and we decided to continue to use the dry organic matter as much as possible as fire pollute the area and risk our farm and others. Not worth the risk!

Our goal to prepare soap from ashes was not a successful so far! It requires better preparation and skills that we don't have yet, but it doesn't mean that we will give up. We will keep you posted.

Our sourdough is almost ready. Just 2-3 more days. After that, we will say goodbye to bread from the bakeries/supermarket. This is important as our family loves bread and the ones you buy in the stores are full of sugar and preservatives.

Our nursery is full of new plants. So far we have a good success with radish and cucumbers. We will plant more vegetables this week.

We took the kids to visit the puppies in the farm next to us. In a few weeks, the puppies will be strong enough and we can take them home. I hope the kids will be able to wait a bit longer.

We connected another path between the ruin and the vegetable garden.

We spent a few afternoons in our private river. What a great life.

Our association is almost ready. It takes almost 3 months to open a new association. Aya is working hard to complete and submit all the documents.

Next week we will start to clean the trails around the farm, and open easy access road to the peaks. It will help us to move on the farm easier to do a better control against fire during the summer months.

That's all for this week.
